The Senegal, African Culture & Safari Tour includes visits to Dakar and St. Louis,
Senegal’s most modern cities as well as visits to some of Senegal’s
most isolated villages, where life has remained virtually unchanged for centuries.
We will explore Goree Island, infamous for its role in the Trans-Atlantic Slave Trade.
Goree Island for over 300 years was one of the largest slave trading centers in West Africa,
with millions of captured Africans being warehoused there as they waited for the ships that would take them to the Americas.
