DAY 1-4: Arrival in Addis Ababa and City Tour
> Visit the National Museum home to many incredible archaeological treasures including the famous Lucy, a tiny human believed to have lived over 3 million years ago.
> See the Merkato Market, largest open-air market in Africa
> Ascend Mount Entoto and see panoramic views of the city from the top of the mountain
> Visit Holy Trinity Cathedral, the main cathedral of Ethiopia’s orthodox church and the burial place of the last King of Ethiopia, Haile Selassie.
Days 5-6: Travel to Ghana and begin Accra City Tours
> We will visit Independence Square (where Ghanaians celebrate the nation’s Independence Day each year)
> Tour members will visit the Kwame Nkrumah Mausoleum, which is the final resting place of the first President of Ghana and one of Africa’s most renowned Statesmen
> We will drive through the commercial districts of Accra and see the amazing development and growth of Accra;
Days 7-8 We Tour the Central Region
> Stop at Assin Manso to participate in a Ceremony of Remembrance at “Slave River” where our ancestors were forced to bathe after their long march to the coast of Ghana
> You will have a guided tour through the Cape Coast Slave Dungeon, the place where the largest number of enslaved Africans were housed before shipment to the Americas.
Days 9 Travel to Accra and Prepare for your Flight
> Travel back to Accra and have time to rest, relax, enjoy the hotel amenities, have a spa day; or if you choose, do nothing at all!
